Two unofficial LG G4 websites have given a rundown of what is to come for LG's next flagship smartphone. A new leak came out on Twitter a few days ago showing the phone's early press render following news that the G4 smartphone is getting close to reality with its April 2015 release.
However, LG has not officially released any statement regarding how the phone would exactly look like, its specs and features. Nevertheless, the websites culled the most believable sources and here's what they come up with.
LG has already revealed that G4 will get a bezel slimmer than G3. Although G4 gave unspecified information, G4 will have 0.7mm bezel compared to G3's 1.5mm. With so-called Neo-Edge technology, the phone will look like a credit with its ultra-thin build.
A smaller 5.3-inch screen will equip G4 with Quah HD display. There is no hint for now regarding the resolution. G3 has 2560x1440 pixel with 534ppi.
The South Korean tech titan is reported to get away from Qualcomm's 64-bit octa-core CPU and Snapdragon 810 processor chipset since LG has announced that it has been spending millions of dollars to create its own processor called Nuclun. Nuclun octa-core processor with LTE-A Cat6 network capabilities enables to render 4G speed up to 300 mbps.
LG G4 will wear mediocre 16 megapixel back-facing camera with resolution clocked at 5312×2988 pixels. It will render high resolution videos at 60 frames per second. With rumored power efficiency and bendable display, users will have a full G4 camera experience. G3 has pioneered optimal image stabilization and laser autofocus in the G line.
Resistance from water and dust is also expected to make a grand debut for a G smartphone. Waterproof smartphones from other brands are certified by IP65 and IP67 rating.
A metal unibody design has been done by Apple and HTC which LG might also be catching up this time. Android 5.1 Lollipop might run in G4 as a test has been leaked recently. G3 originally runs in Android 4.4.2 KitKat and was later upgraded to Android 5.0.
In terms of memory, G4 will come in 32 GB and 64 GB variants. With the aid of microSD card, users can expand storage up to 128 GB. An inaugural 3 GB of RAM is also expected. A 3,500 mAh battery will also boost the charging capacity of the phone. All other top smartphone brands have used 3,500 battery already.
In terms of pricing, G4 may cost £600-£800 in UK and around $1000 in US because of its QHD panel, powerful processor and robust camera. G3's sale started in UK with the initial pricing £500. It later rode down to £400.
In another report, G4 will sport a 5.7-inch Sapphire screen, which have been used by giants Apple iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
Meanwhile, 5G technology is also possible to surface as the company is working out a new wireless data technology. G4 is reported to sport a 20.7 megapixel camera, a 400 mAh battery and 808 quad-core processor. G4's release might also come out in the U.S. on the fourth week of April 2015.
