Princess Diana's untimely death in 1997 shocked the world and tainted British monarchy, but good thing Royal family's young blood saves its glory. Furthermore, Prince William marriage to commoner Kate Middleton also help, but what's commendable with pregnant Duchess of Cambridge is her beauty and being private according to a biographer.
In his interview with HuffPost Live on Tuesday, the '17 Carnations: The Royals, the Nazis and the Biggest Cover-Up in History' biographer- author Andrew Morton said Diana's sons and daughter-in-law brought new light to their royal family.
"William and Harry have got the halo of Diana [around them], and are still surrounded by their mythic light, as it were," Morton shared on HuffPost Live.
"Catherine has fit in nicely into their duo. She's added Madison Avenue glamour to the royal family," Morton added. "At the end of the day, the royal family is what they look like, and she's a good-looking kid."
Morton also mentioned Harry's misdemeanors that caused him some bad publicity like when he opted to don a Nazi officer's uniform at a Halloween party in 2005. However, the biographer commented that Queen Elizabeth wasn't too bothered with the incident and if the late Princess of Wales is alive today she'll find Harry funny.
"Very little gets to the Queen. She's the definition of impenetrable, but the thing that bothers her is anything that attacks the monarchy itself - the structure and fabric of the monarchy. When Prince Harry was going through the fancy dress department and thinking 'I think it's a good idea if I wear a Nazi uniform,' he should have thought what the Queen would think," Morton shared. "That's the litmus test for all of them. When they don't do that, they usually get into trouble."
Meantime, the busy and preggy Duchess of Cambridge is seems enjoy watching TV series such as 'Downtown Abbey' and 'One Tree Hill.' In fact, the 33-year-old mom of Prince George personally visit the sets of Downtown Abbey on Thursday.
"We are so honored to have had Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge join us on the set of 'Downtown Abbey,'" executive producer, and managing director of Carnival Films Gareth Neame said. "The Duchess is a great fan of the show, so it was interesting to see her step into the world-renowned sets and see the characters come to life. She was so incredibly gracious to spend time with our actors and those behind the camera who bring the saga of the Crawley family to life."
