Episode 8 of the first half of hit Starz series, Outlander had everyone hanging. Jamie and Claire's honeymoon was interrupted by the Black Jack as he kidnaps the bride. What happens next becomes fairly predictable and this is what fans are weary about after 6 months of waiting for the midseason instalment.
Teaser and highlights for episodes 9-13 has been release and SpoilerTV forecast they center on Jamie's rescue attempt. It is interesting that the young Scottish hottie is molded by Moore and Gabaldon into the Knight-in-shining armour type. Alos, since Executive Producer, Ronald D. Moore vowed to keep the storyline closer and loyal to the book, it is expected that the rescue proves successful despite the drama of Jack taking Claire as a hostage.
However, our couple is not out of danger yet for the Captain of His Majesty's Dragoons still chases them and showrunners claim the midseason will be "dark".
Moreover, fans are curious about Jamie's choice of words in the teaser. Despite getting married, he still refers to Claire as a Sassenach (Outlander). It appears that he still has apprehensions with welcoming Claire into his clan despite their steamy kisses and embraces. Remember that Jamie spank Claire after disobeying him as a form of punishment; and actress Balfe reveals that the scene was choreographed to perfection.
Fans are convinced that there is evil lurking somewhere.
Now that we mention "evil"; the mysterious group, the Watch is introduced in the midseason trailer though less is revealed about them. Being a well-researched historical drama, Moore mentions the second half of Outlander sees the political implications of the rise and move to power by the Jacobites and the Red Coat, he tells TheWrap. What could be the Watch's role within the Jacobites and the Red Coat. Furthermore, what is the fundamental position of our heroine in this part of Scotland's history.
