A source tells Celebrity Dirty Laundry that Angelina and Brat are going through so much stress in past few months and taking a vacation was a solution they considered.
"They thought the getaway could be an antidote to all the problems and stress of the past few months."
One of the weightier reasons for the stress that strain their marriage was their failure to garner an award for the works they invested much on: Angelina with 'Unbroken' and Brad with 'Fury.'
CDL also believes that the couple need some time to recuperate from Hollywood after the snubs they received. Going to the Oscars would also give them so much stress considering their 'failure' to get the trophy.
Angelina's 'Unbroken,' according to John Voight, believes that the movie she directed and produced is of stellar quality and definitely deserved a place in the Academy Awards, reported Franchise Herald.
"I wish she had [been nominated], because I think she deserved it," he said.
"I think her direction is astounding, really astounding, and if she wasn't my daughter, I'd still say, 'I want to work for that one.' She's a great actor's director - the pace of the film, the size of the film. Unbelievably difficult stuff that she accomplished," Voight added.
Meanwhile, in a report by Australia's Woman's Day magazine, Angelina Jolie and Brad are planning to have an additional member to their family. They are preparing to adopt a 2-year-old boy from Syria named Moussa. The 39-year-old actress fell in love with the little one during one of her trips as a special envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, reported Miami Herald.
