'True Detective' Season 2 will feature the popular comedy actor Vince Vaughn in a very challenging role. He said that he is very excited with the season's 'adult storytelling'.
The second season of 'True Detective' will highlight actor Vince Vaughn as the antagonist. Vaughn has had a terrible series of movies including 'Delivery Man', 'The Internship', 'The Dilemma', and 'Couples Retreat'. These comedy films led by Vaughn received poor reviews in addition to performing poorly at the box office.
And this role as a villain in 'True Detective' may be a bit challenged for him, but it could be a big change of his career. We know him a guy who plays light and comedic movies so this we will have to look forward how he is doing his job.
From the previous report, Vaughn has said that his role is no sweat. He has not felt any pressures doing the scenes.
Writer Nic Pizzolatto admire with Vaughn's work in independent dramas early in his career. "I always thought Vince was a great actor, from when he first broke in, doing these interesting and intense performances in the mid-'90s - I remember these independent dramas he was just great in."
Pizzolatto and Vaughn met when the latter was looking to switch 'The Rockford Files' TV series to a movie.
"Nic is very unique because he writes literally every episode by himself," Vaughn says via Variety. "And it's such adult storytelling. You investigate a specific culture and really climb in and explore it over a long period of time."
In a recent interview with Today, the actor told that the story and the vision of the show made him decide to join the cast.
"I thought that the first season was just incredible dialogue and story, and turns and kind of a rich subculture to kind of get into," Vaughn added. "For me, it's a chance to go and play a very unique character, something that's dramatic, and be a part of something that I think is really exceptional."
Details about "True Detective" season 2 are kept at a minimum. However, rumors spoiled the upcoming season will introduce the new mystery to solve includes three police officers and a career criminal embroiled in a conspiracy involving a murder. The show is set to comeback in summer this year with eight episodes.
Whatever the case, it should be an interesting season for this anticipated series. In addition to Vaughn, the 'True Detective' Season 2 will also include actors Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, and Taylor Kitsch.
