The recent episode of The Young and the Restless gives clues that there are more from Austin's stories than what viewers are made to believe in. Matthew Atkinson, who plays Austin tweets that "we haven't seen the last of him" and this sparks rumors that he is not dead yet. Nonetheless, whatever the outcome is one is certain -- The Young and the Restless heads to the darker side of the road.
The soap gossip site, CelebDirtyLaundry reports that the murder or death of Austin brings dark questions not only with the motives of manslaughter but also as to who the perpetrator is. Rumours rank Sharon as a likely suspect. It could be that while at the cabin at the day of Austin's attack, she suffered Dissociative Identity Disorder and delivered the deadly blow to Austin.
Moreover, although not backed up with more details; the same site points out that Sharon's next victim is Courtney. As the likely suspect for Austin's murder, her motives to go after Courtney could be Austin's documentary. Once she finds out that Sharon is behind the death of Austin, then Sharon will make sure to seal her for good. Spoilers from several sites also shows that Sharon will be arrested after being implicated for both of Austin and Courtney's murders. How will the people from Genoa react on Sharon's arrest?
However, Sharon is not the only one under scrutiny now. Detective Mark Harding is also one of the possible murder suspects by reason of the 'secret' Austin uncovered. Recall that in the previous episodes, the show gave hints that "someone" will do whatever it takes protect a secret? Also, this someone threatens to kill again. On this prospect, either Sharon or Detective Mark are both very viable suspects.
This season of The Young and the Restless is sure to take viewers to a whole new world of ploys and conspiracies against each other that nobody in Genoa City may be longer safe.
