'Downton Abbey' Season 6 has yet to return later this year. While everyone's busy shooting for the upcoming season, the Duchess of Cambridge surprised the cast in a visit where Kate had met several actors of the British drama, it was reported.
The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton visited the sets of 'Downton Abbey' which is currently filming its indoor scenes at Ealing Studios in London.
The Telegraph reported that the Duchess was so mesmerized by the filming that she stayed half an hour more than she was scheduled to. Kate had admitted that she is a fan of the British period drama, while on a US trip.
In other news, actor Hugh Bonneville dropped spoilers for the season 6. He confirmed that a Christmas special being the ninth episode. Season six picks up six months after the events of season five in 1925. Lady Rose has moved to America with husband Atticus while beloved Tom Branson is in Boston. However, this doesn't mean we won't be seeing the characters, who will drop by intermittently.
It was reported that at the end of Season 5, James' Downton character Lady Rose married Atticus (Matt Barber) and left the estate to begin a new life as a married woman in America.
In an interview with Zap2It, Lily James admitted that she really wants to return to the show, after the her movie Cinderella.
"I'm really hoping to come back. I feel like it's definitely going to happen," James told Zap2It earlier this month during a press junket for Cinderella.
"Part of me wants her to like lose her sh-- and come back completely wrecked and a ruined woman, and part of me wants her to keep her happily ever after," she tells Zap2It.
But many fans get vibes that Rose return being something that is perfect for a Christmas Special, and especially that the show is near the end of the road as a whole.
