Actor Nicolas Hoult hinted that the upcoming 'X-Men Apocalypse' may be his last movie for the famous franchise. When asked by host Marc Malkin about the latest installment of X-Men, Hoult, instead of discussing the new movie, expressed reminiscing remarks on his role as 'Beast' in previous X-Men films.
He then revealed that his last sign-up for the film franchise is only with the upcoming movie. Asked if this will be his last 'X-Men' film, Hoult said it will greatly depend on the script of the film. He said the next movie after 'X-Men Apocalypse' may not feature him, but this won't prevent him from appearing in other future 'X-Men' movies.
Simon Kinberg, producer and writer of the film, said 'X-Men Apocalypse' will focus on the romantic relationship of Beast, played by Hoult, and Mystique, played by Jennifer Lawrence. The last 'X-Men' film, 'X-Men: Days of Future Past', failed to give highlight to the relationship, hence, the new 'X-Men' film franchise will give it a try.
Hoult and Lawrence dated in real life for two years until they finally called it quits in 2014. Nicolas Hoult first appeared in the film 'X-Men: First Class'. His role for the 'X-Men Apocalypse' is his third and might be his last.
Another actor who might be absent for the next film installment is Hugh Jackman. When Jackman was asked about the next film installment's story, he denied knowledge of the same. He said he didn't even know if there is already a script for it. Film producers and maker are yet to comment on Jackman's involvement for the next film installment, if there is one.
'X-Men Apocalypse' will hit the movie screen on May 27, 2016. The movie stars Jennifer Lawrence, who reprise her role as Mystique, James McAvoy as Professor X, Micheal Fassbender as Magento, Nicolas Hoult as Beast, and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse - the main villain in the movie.
