Catholic Church Approval of Gay Marriage: Parents Concerned on Effects

By

Same sex marriage is still a debatable topic. Only a small percentage has accepted this doing. In fact, when a state or country approves such form of marriage, it would automatically appear in the headlines. While others are very much against this, the supporters are screaming 'marriage equality'. As of the moment, what is the latest about this controversial topic?

In Alabama, a somehow 'rift' between judges is happening. Apparently, there would always be two sides. One is pro-gay marriage, and the other one is on the more conservative side. The issue is getting bigger because one judge ruled that marriage licenses refusals should be done for those who are in the LGBT community and would like to pursue same sex marriage.

in 2015, there are more than 35 states in United States that provide licenses for same sex marriage. This includes Alaska, California, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Oregon among many others.

One source was able to provide some insights about gay marriage approval. Evidently, more and more people are already open to such kind of union. However, it was shared that while same sex marriage is being accepted legally, the church will stand firm that it will not be the same case for them. The alternative for now is to teach young children about the real context of marriage. Quite frankly, this is a huge challenge for parents. Kids are now more open to gay marriages. These can be seen over the internet which kids have an easy access.

Just recently, a controversial book made news. The book is around 25 years old but the author made some adjustments. 'Heather has Two Mommies' is about a little girl with lesbian parents. The story didn't focus on the parents, but the life of Heather. However, some schools and libraries banned this book from being on their shelves. This is because they don't want to instill to the young ones that same sex marriage is widely accepted.

What do you think about gay marriage? Is it something that should be accepted not just by the state, but also by the church? What do you think would be the implication of this huge change to the society? We honestly feel that this would be a battle of LGBT communities that will run for years.
