Demi Moore and Bruce Willis were visible on season premiere of 'Dancing With The Stars' neither as contestants nor judges but as supportive parents. The ex couple together with daughters Tallulah Willis and Scout Willis unite on Monday to support their eldest daughter Rumer who joined the show. With partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy, the 26-year-old young Willis didn't fail her celebrity parents as she emerged top performer of the night.
In Chmerkovskiy's interview with E! News, the Ukrainian professional dancer praised Rumer's professionalism and shared what's up with their tandem.
"She's such a trooper. I'm such a tough coach sometimes, she's just awesome. I want the best for her," the 28-year-old dancer.
"This is just the beginning. This was us still just holding back and being modest," Val says of their opening night look, which included a beaded dress with a plunging neckline for Rumer. "We're going to have some sparkles!"
Rumer admitted that she liked to surprise her parents and let them watch her show. The former child star who seen in films such as 'Striptease' and 'Now and Then' was more than happy to see her supportive parents.
"I thought my sister was going berzerk!" She said in her interview with Us Weekly. "But I had been struggling with this one part and I was keeping my eyes on them and tonight I focused and seeing them all smiling, I was amazed with how good it felt to see them."
"It was amazing, I literally had a whole section!" Rumer shared. "I wanted people here tonight who love and support me unconditionally and I really felt that. I couldn't have asked for anything else."
According to a source of Us Weekly, Tallulah and Scout was ecstatic that day especially when her sister started to dance. She's tearful and cheering for her Rumer and Val who scored 32/40 with their foxtrot performance. The source added that Demi and Bruce, who's sitting beside his wife Emma Heming, didn't talk during the show.
"He's [usually] stoic, but he was very excited [tonight]. I don't think he had any idea what to expect coming here and to watch everyone else dance and have me perform at the end of the night, he was really proud of me," Rumer shared about her 59-year-old 'Die Hard' actor dad on FOX411.
"Her mom is very emotionally invested [in this]. She watches our live streams; she catches up on all the couples. She's very competitive, which is great. There are a lot of things I didn't know that she let me in on in terms of the competition, Val's description to Demi who didn't miss the chance to update her more than 5-million Twitter followers about Rumer's performance.
