Apple iPhone 6 S and iPhone 7 Update: Killer Features and Cutting-Edge Configurations

Apple has been silent until now about the next-generation iPhone 6S's and iPhone 7's releases despite reports spreading like a wildfire.

iPhone 6S and iPhone 7 are expected to exceed what they predecessors have achieved to date. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have performed well, breaking iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C's sales record. In the United Kingdom alone, Apple secured 40 percent market share in smartphone competition here, according to market research company Kantor Worldpanel ComTech. The same research firm sited iPhone 6 Plus' breakthrough battery performance contributes to the outstanding sales records of Apple.

Despite concurrent reports that two Apple smartphones will come out at the same this year, some other reports say that iPhone 6S will be launched in public first during the first half of 2015 while iPhone 7 will come out by September.

Daily Mail reports: "The new schedule is expected to stagger the releases of two devices in 2015 to capitalize on sales. Apple could release the iPhone 6S to people who want to upgrade to a slightly cheaper model, before announcing its flagship iPhone 7 in the autumn."

With Apple's next iOS 9 operating system, the next devices of the company is expected to make more stable. iOS 7 and iOS 8 forced Apple to produce patch updates due to bugs issues. Codenamed Monarch, iOS 9 will include several improvements, bug fixes, and will boost performance of the smartphones.

The new iOS 9 has software features such as Car Play, Apple Watch, HealthKit, and Apple Pay. In addition, the Touch ID fingerprint sensor is expected to be significantly improved with Force Touch technology that allows users to differentiate a press and a tap. iOS 9 is expected to come out in June at the Worldwide Developer Conference with a public beta release during the summer and the final release in the fall.

With A9 chipset, Apple is reported to exceed Samsung's A8 chipset. However, Samsung has first been reported that it won a major contract with Apple to manufacture its A9 chipsets. Samsung executive Ki-nam Kim confirmed that the South Korean tech firm will be producing the 14nm processors for Apple for 2015 iPhones and iPads.

In terms display, sapphire glass had been a pinch-hitter to improve experience. Sapphire glass is scratch resistant. However, Corning Gorilla Glass is close to reality.

"We told you last year that sapphire was great for scratch performance but didn't fare well when dropped. The new Touch ID "offers a better and safer Apple Pay user experience by reducing reading errors." iPhone 7's camera is expected to be the biggest breakthrough in Apple's history. Its camera is reported to sport a dual-lens camera and a DSLR quality images.
