The latest updates to the "Sims 4" are set to address several of the issues related to gameplay, according to Electronic Arts.
The newest update for the game is primarily designed to address the crashes the game experiences for both Mac and PC users. Electronic Arts was able to track the originating points of the crashes inside the game thanks in part to players spotting and reporting them as they happened.
Some of the notable crash fixes include addressing the "failed to load object" error which resulted in the player being taken to the neighborhood map instead of being loaded into a lot as intended.
Players who also used Nvidia GTX 960, 970 or 980 video cards will no longer receive the error notification indicating "unrecognized video card" once the game is started.
Crashes which took place due to lot caching and gallery browsing were also fixed with the new patch. An infinite load issue which was caused by certain objects inside the game was also repaired.
Supplemental fixes for the Mac version of the game also helped stabilize the user interface, with the refresh now adjustable and repairs for fullscreen mode. New content additions have also been introduced to the game with some coming in the form of St. Patrick's Day-inspired gear, including new hats and even a new gnome for the home.
Apart from the patch, a new expansion pack for "Sims 4" is also earmarked for release on April 30, according to Trusted Reviews. The expansion pack will enable players to venture into the workplace along with their creations.
The "Get to Work" expansion pack will specifically allow players to become detectives, doctors or scientists. Each line of work will provide the player with different environments and objectives as they progress.
The expansion pack is expected to retail at $40, according to PC Gamer.
