Days of Our Lives fans will surely not miss the homecoming to Salem of two of the show's most infamous characters - Steve "Patch" Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Bo Brady (Peter Reckell). The return of the duo is a long overdue but now that Days of Our Lives management has confirmed it, fans are sure to see them come back.
According to Executive Producer Ken Corday in an exclusive interview with Digest, the two have finalized their deal for their return for the 50th anniversary this November; although they might appear earlier than that.
"Stephen Nichols and Peter Reckell have signed deals to come back for the 50th anniversary. "They represent two of the most popular characters in the history of the show." Corday says.
Nichols and Reckell were last seen in 2009 and in 2012, respectively.
Recall that Steve and Kayla divorced and is currently working as a doctor. On the other hand, Bo left his wife, Hope for an undercover mission. Currently in the series, Hope is seriously dating hotshot Salem lawyer Aiden Jennings.
Now that the two are due to return, fans should expect more drama as Days of Our Lives focuses on the reason that drove the two out of Salem and leave family and friends behind.
Moreover, Nadja Bjorlin is also rumored to return to the show but very little is known and the Executive Producer has not confirmed this yet. Alison Sweeney is also speculated to return and this news has been brewing for some time, and just like Bjorlin, the same is not verified as well.
Fans are now excited to see how Patch Johnson and Bo Brady add to the already sweltering drama in Salem. Their relationships before they left were already strained and for sure there will be a lot to patch and fix.
