Destiny's next patch will feature some additions and changes that Bungie has just announced earlier today. Destiny 1.1.2 will bring in new audio options and colorblind modes among others. Bungie has announced in its website that the audio and visual improvements they have promised to provide more options is detailed.
Destiny 1.1.2 patch first brings sound logic in Settings to isolate the frequency of the people in a Fireteam, or pump up jams.
Jay Weinland, Bungie's head of audio, said the audio team sincerely want to change the audio experience for the game. Chat Volume allows players to adjust the number of people in a team ranging from 50 up to 125 percent or more. Note that this option adjusts only the chat volume of speakers, not the chat headset. Game Volume adjusts all in-game conversation, sound effects, and music as one unified component ranging from 0 to 100 percent.
Customizing musical score is also possible by substituting anthems in the game with personal choices. If muted, the music will be excluded from the mix altogether.
Weiland also teased that an Easter Egg audio can help Destiny anthems enhance players' time with friends, which can be found only when the game is live.
Daniel Hanson, user interface engineer, said: "I approached the audio team to see what tools we could use to give some control to our players. With some fresh engineering, it became possible to expose their existing controls as new game settings."
Destiny 1.1.2 patch also brings color commentary for visual feedback that guides players in the game through more players.
Brad Fish, user interface engineering lead, mastered colorblind-friendly Destiny.
Since using the existing user interface to support various color blind modes makes a challenge, the team sees the Colorblind Mode as a flexible toolkit to help the designers do "minimally-invasive surgery and no negative impact to existing functionality."
Players caught in life and death situation cannot differentiate much which weapons adversaries are holding. The Colorblind Mode supports that third dimension of Destiny. With this solution, the contrast between colors in palette has been increased. The Colorblind Mode includes Deutaranopia (red-green), Protanopia (red-green), and Tritanopia (yellow-blue).
Nate Hawbaker, technical artist, said: "We hope the new modes enable more players to make quick decisions about the elements in the game that are most important. Since there is no such thing as a blue ammo drop, prioritizing the difference in shades was easier."
On top of that, the size and brightness of loot bauble have been augmented to match Grey engram.
Meanwhile, Bungie has included new rules for the game.
- Account linking and account creation with Google has now ceased, with this option being removed completely by March 24.
- Fans will not be able to link a Facebook account or use it to create a new profile. Account linking and account creation with Facebook will cease on March 24.
- Microsoft Accounts without linked Gamertags cannot be linked or used to create a new profile. Sign-in will still work for a time, but that will eventually stop working if you do not have a linked tag.
Destiny 1.1.2 patch will come out before the House of Wolves DLC will be revealed.
