Pharrell Williams and The Band Perry collaborated on a new album. The country trio is currently working hard on their third studio album, following their 2013 effort.
Kimberly Perry said in an interview with the CMT's Cody Alan that they are really psyched about the different collaborations they have with the album. She added that The Voice coach is a huge fan of country music. Pharrell also commended what they to with the harmony.
"We got to hang out with Pharrell a couple weeks ago. He's like a huge country music fan, and he also really loves what we do with harmony. One thing that we worked on with him was this song where all three of us sing different interwoven vocals on the verse and on the chorus," Kimberly said about Pharrell Williams, The Band Perry new album collaboration.
Kimberly added that their third release will be "a very spirited album."
"As opposed to Pioneer, which is all about being the underdog and rising above circumstance, this album has a lot more of a fun atmosphere around it," Reid Perry said during an interview with Radio.com last year.
He went on to say, "When it even comes to the songs that we're choosing to start working on, it's all about, 'How does it make us feel?' If it makes us feel good and if has a fun vibe about it, that is the path that we are walking down."
The Band Perry is doing really great so far. Last February, the family trio won a Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, for "Gentle on My Mind," from Glen Campbell's I'll Be Me soundtrack. They are also nominated for an ACM Award, for Vocal Group of the Year.
Pharrell Williams, The Band Perry new album release date is still uncertain, but fans can be sure that it is slated to be out later this year.
