EA confirms Star Wars fans that the new game title, Star Wars: Battlefront will debut next month. On April 16-19, fans of the series will celebrate the success of this epic space fantasy created by legendary author, George Lucas.
According to Gamespot, EA's plans to make their game announcement coincide with the celebrations became apparent when the company's name came up on the shows schedule.
Fans of the series may find satisfaction on Star Wars Battlefront as DICE, the company that made the critically acclaimed Battlefield series is in the driver's seat. Their plans for the new game is still a secret, though according to Gamespot, the design director of DICE promises more information later this spring. Though it is now apparent that the full debut of DICE's contribution to the game franchise will be on the Star Wars celebrations set next month.
The Star Wars series is one of the epic space sagas that captivated the imaginations of millions of people worldwide. During the first film release in 1977, the name became synonymous for space technology. It was so influential that the SDI (Strategic Defense Initiative) proposal of President Reagan in the 80s, which is an early defense system against possible nuclear attack during the cold war was nicknamed, Star Wars.
Electronic Arts quickly revealed their intentions, announcing on their website that they "could not think of a better or more appropriate place to debut the game officially...than the premiere event that celebrates the Star Wars universe..." A game teaser was released by EA that briefly shows what gamers would expect on the latest Star wars video game title. Though the video teaser showed more of the game developer's admiration and effort to have an authentic Star Wars film for the game, it did show a few seconds of gameplay, which is mouth-watering.
