‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’ Update: First trailer and poster released

Tom Cruise is back as Ethan Hunt in "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation." Hunt and the team are set to take on anti-IMF syndicates who possess the same skills as they have.

Paramount Pictures released the first trailer and poster for the fifth installment to the hit franchise, "Mission Impossible." The fifth installment is entitled, "Rogue Nation," a name they call the anti-IMF syndicates who are bound to do whatever it takes to take the IMF (Impossible Missions Force) down.

The trailer kicks off with the IMF looking for Hunt. The next scene shows a shirtless Tom Cruise who throws everyone around him even with his hands tied above him. The trailer also introduces a new face, Rebecca Ferguson, who will play the role of a new agent who will help Hunt escape and take down the Rogue Nation.

According to Coming Soon, Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner are set to reprise their roles from the previous installment, "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol." Alec Baldwin, Simon McBurney, and Ving Rhames will be joining the cast.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that the film's title has been in conflict with the Star Wars spin-off movie, "Rogue One" because both films share the same keyword.

The outlet cited that the title for the new "Mission Impossible" film came in and was approved by the Motion Picture Association of America before Disney announced the Star Wars spin-off film in January.

Paramount Pictures and Disney were able to come into a deal, wherein Disney will refrain from mentioning the "Star Wars" spin-off film during the promotions and release of "Mission Impossible 5."

Christopher McQuarrie was the director and writer of the film, while the screenplay was written by Will Staples and Drew Pearce, Daily Mail reported.

"Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" will hit theatres on July 31.
