Microsoft gauges fan interest for remastered 'Alan Wake': Should fans expect it?

By

Survey questions from Microsoft are currently asking players if they would be interested in a possible remastered version of the game "Alan Wake" being released. The questions were posed in different surveys found on Xbox Live.

There were three different survey questions pertaining to the topic of "Alan Wake" being posed to people. The first one asked fans what they thought of the game. The second question asked if players who had the game would recommend that their friends also get it, and the last question directly asked if they would be interested in purchasing a remastered version of the game, according to Metro UK.

In addition to the three questions directly concerning "Alan Wake," another one connected to the video game "Quantum Break" was also posed to people on Xbox Live. The question posed to the fans asked which incentives, if offered, could lead them to pre-order "Quantum Break." One of the survey choices included "A free copy of Alan Wake Xbox One Remastered Edition."

Also included as options in the survey were exclusive game outfits for characters, a making-of copy of the game, a $5 discount, an exclusive in-game assault rifle for a "Quantum Break" character, a chance to win a trip to Remedy Studios located in Finland, or a copy of "Ryse: Son of Rome" free of charge.

The head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, already said Remedy Studios would be the same team behind a possible sequel to "Alan Wake" should the project ever come to fruition. He reiterated that the studio was still currently hard at work on "Quantum Break" at the time to shift their attention to the development of any other title, according to Gamespot.

The original "Alan Wake" game put players squarely inside a psychological thriller. The game has sold over 2 million copies since it was first released, according to Game Rant.
