By

Nintendo reportedly announced that they are going to create gaming mobile apps in partnership with DeNA, a Japanese mobile game developer. It was during a press conference that Nintendo president Satoro Iwata gave the statement, with the company's new mission of creating mobile games as the main agenda of the event, according to reports by ChristianToday.

With this recent move of Nintendo, gamers could expect more Nintendo characters in smartphone games on new multi-platform application devices. In addition to this, Satoro Iwata reportedly revealed that the company is currently developing a new gaming platform, named as NX, as a proof that the company is maintaining strong enthusiasm for the gaming industry, reports by Wired.

In a Q&A session, he said "I wanted to communicate that Nintendo will be progressing with videogame-dedicated devices with a passion. We wanted to make it clear that Nintendo will continue with that as our core business."

However, Iwata did not give further significant details about the upcoming Nintendo NX gaming platform. Still, he mentioned that the NX is going to come with a "brand-new concept". What would it be?

There are already various speculations about the "brand-new concept" of NX. A post in Venture Beat states that NX could possibly look like a phone or a phablet, which could be carried in a pocket, recheargable, and a cellular access feature. This could be possible though.

Wired also shares the same speculation stating that it could be used as a portable gaming device. Another is that it could not only come as portable but perhaps NX could also have one screen that will enable users to swap between touch-sensitive and 3-D display modes.

And lastly, NX could also come with a set of devices. We could just wonder how many. Whatever NX would come out to be, gamers are now waiting for its release that could be worth the wait or rather not. The Nintendo NX gaming platform is expected to be released in 2016 and specific date are yet to be announced officially.
