God Of War III Remastered Announced Last Franchise Title For PS4

By

God of War III remastered will hit stores in July 14, but it will be the last title of this epic series that will hit PS4. According to Sony's Aaron Kaufman, through IGN, there are no further God of War titles planned for the PS4. The announcement came as a response to fan comments in the PS blog, requesting a remastered God of war I and II. However, with Sony's official statement, the God of War epic effectively concludes for all of its fans.

The Playstation blog enumerate enhancements done in the remastered God of War III. First is that the game will be rendered at 1080p, all DLCs will be included and a list of new weapons for use. However, the blog's trademark slogan, "In the end, there will only be chaos" perfectly alludes to the last 'hurrah' of this epic franchise on the PS4. Though the announcement does not specifically tell fans that the franchise is over, optimists believe that Sony surely has something epic in store.

The God of War saga started in 2005 when it was first released for the PS2. The game immediately gained popularity and quickly reached legendary status. A riveting story set against a Greek mythology backdrop, the game was praised for its innovations, gameplay and story-telling. Remastered first for the PS3, it is on this platform that the trilogy was completed with the exclusive PS3 release of God of war III in 2010.

The release of God of War III remastered on the PS4 will coincide with the 10th anniversary of the franchise; A fitting way to finally close the epic trilogy with style. After 10 years of success and after it made millions of gamers enjoy its action packed gameplay, GOWIII will take its final bow. God of War III remastered is set for release on July 14, 2015.
