"Castle" Season 7 episode 18 titled, "At Close Range" airs on Monday, March 23 on ABC. In this episode, Detective Kevin Ryan finds himself caught in an assassination plot against a congressman he was moonlighting for. According to the outlet, Detective Ryan finds himself embroiled in a shooting incident and he tries to recount the events before the incident took place. Castle and Beckett try to gather evidence that will prove Ryan's innocence and uncover the real culprit.
TV Line was able to interview Seamus Dever who plays Detective Kevin Ryan on the show.
Dever teased that the last episode of "Castle" will involve a lot of flashbacks.
"I think we've only done one episode that deals with flashbacks... The flashbacks are handled in way that has some nice style to it," said Dever.
TV Line also released an exclusive clip, which showed Kate and Castle looking through their victim's purse. In the clip, Kate admits that she does not like going through another person's purse, which she thinks is very personal.
Castle asks her what kind of personality does their victim, Caroline Decker have. She tells him that based on the contents of her purse, she's a workaholic. She also thinks that Decker made a difference when she finds a letter from a boy in Africa thanking her for setting up the water filtration system in their area. She finds a second phone in her purse, which makes her believe it contains a "motive for murder."
