Season 7 brushed up on some parts of Castle's mysterious disappearance from the previous season, but fans will get a chance to see the Beckett and Castle mythology again.
David Amann, "Castle" showrunner told TV Line that the season's finale episode will be a "buoyant, classic episode" that will focus on the "high-stakes story-telling surrounding Castle and Beckett mythology."
Meanwhile in the upcoming episode 18 of "Castle" titled "At Close Range," which airs tonight, March 23, Detective Kevin Ryan will find himself caught in a shooting incident.
According to ABC's synopsis of the upcoming episode of "Castle," the storyline will focus on Detective Kevin Ryan. Detective Ryan is known for moonlighting for his brother's security business. While moonlighting for the security detail of a congressman, he finds himself caught in the middle of a shooting incident.
Spoilers from TV Line also teased fans that Ryan will be named as the culprit behind the shooting incident, as seen on the teaser clip, wherein cops were pointing their guns at him. He tries to clear his name by revisiting the events that took place before the incident.
Speaking to the network, Seamus Dever, who plays Ryan, revealed that the episode will have a lot of flashbacks. He said that it is very rare for the show to do flashbacks and recounted that the show only did one flashback in the past, which was for 47 seconds in season 4.
