LG G4 is a long awaited instalment from LG. Since its release announcement from a local publication in Korea, rumours about this LG flagship sip through the internet and here are some of those that may help consumers decide.
Design. LG G4 just like its predecessor, G2 incorporates the rear power button but took it to the next level. The rear button also serves as a design feature and in G4 is now infused with meta-like plastic plates. Moreover, speculations about the building materials have circulated. LG which is known to be Samsung's competitor is seen to follow Samsung's choice of shifting to metallic unibody.
Software. LG confirms that G4 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, reports one site. Known to most, LG phones are few of the Smartphones in the market tattered with bloatwares; however, many guess that Touchwiz moves towards being minimalistic. Along with Touchwiz raging down, many are hopeful for the introduction of Optimus UI, though the same may remain stagnant at least within this year.
Camera. Latest rumors on LG G4 say that the smartphone is equipped with a 16MP camera which is a momentous improvement from the current 13MP in LG G3. Furthermore, rumors extend that the front camera gets an upgrade from 2.1MP to 5.1MP in LG G4. With all of these camera developments much overhaul is expected from its software aside from the switch to Android Lollipop 5.0 but very less is known at this juncture.
Specs. The current LG G3 runs at the latest Snapdragon 810 with 3GB RAM hence it is not difficult to see that LG G4 will also be as SD 810. In a report by The REM, LG G4 has 5.7 inch HD -IPS +LCD display. Also, it comes with 32GB and 64GB variants with 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM respectively. However, this display rumor is different from iKnow Today that reports G4 to have either 5.5-inch or a 5.9-inch display with 2/4K screen resolution. The phone is protected by either sapphire crystal glass or Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Korea Times report that LG G4 is due for release next month and is rumored to be around $550.
