Gamevil releases latest Zenionia installment, the Zenonia S, through a closed beta test that ended March 28.
After a span of 2-3 years hearing nothing about "Zenonia" since its last sequel release, "Zenonia 5", in the Google Play Store on November 29, 2012 (with the release of iOS version on January 10, 2013), fans will once again experience the game with its latest sequel, "Zenonia S".
According to a blog in DroidGamers, "Zenonia S", which its predecessor known as "Zenonia Online", will come out first as a closed beta testing. Gamevil, the publisher and developer of "Zenonia", hinted about a new release of the game via Twitter last Friday and made it official just this week. Despite the fact that "Zenonia S" is now on an official closed beta testing, there has not been much of information about the game except that it will include single player campaign mode, PvP, and real-time boss raids, which other players could also participate in. Some speculations indicate that "Zenonia S" could possibly be a more MMO-style of game.
In terms of the game setting, players will find themselves in a parallel world that will need the assistance of some familiar characters to save humanity, reports by App Trigger.
Touch Arcade, meanwhile, stated that "Zenonia S", like its predecessor, is also going to be an online game and is also expected for a global launching on June this year. Though, the outcome of the beta test could delay the global release or not.
As of this moment, the closed beta game will be in English and Korean languages. No mention of any specific location was given as of now and that the game is only available to Android users, according to the post in the Zenonia S Closed Beta Test Google Group.
GAMEVIL USA, INC President Kye Lee described the latest franchise as "a fresh story with real-time gameplay." He said, "We can't wait to share it with ZENONIA players, old and new, around the world."
