After a 30-day rehabilitation program for alcoholism, the ‘Mad Men' actor John Hamm is getting ready for his stint in a TV show on AMC that will be shown next month. He recently completed the rehab at Silver Hill Hospital, a classy center with an exorbitant facility located in New Canaan, Connecticut which started last February.
The news was confirmed by John's representative, "With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction. They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward," the spokesman stated on a website. Last year, the ‘Million Dollar' main man said he just loved her partner so much and they were just more that lovers. "We're essentially married," he said. "We just don't have a piece of paper or rings," he said.
The 44-year-old ‘Mad Men' star played the Don Draper's character who is a struggling head in an advertising company and is also having difficulties in drinking hard liquors. Hamm's role may be a little bit similar with Don Draper but if John will be asked if he will do the same thing in his act, he answered that separating real-life from profession has a huge difference and concluded real-life should remain real-life while work should remain work.
"Our names tend to come with something attached - an audience and an expectation, and I guess a price tag. The challenge is to choose the right things to do. I'm not that Methody. I am very cognisant that I am playing a character. Don Draper is a pretty dismal, despicable guy, so why I would want to take him home with me I don't know," he said in an interview in 2013.
Meanwhile, the actor's family requested privacy regarding the rehab matter so that John can fully recover. There is no other information discussed about Hamm's rehab completion as they stayed to be silent.
