Xiaomi is in for the smartphone challenge this year. Xiaomi phones' prices are not going down at all yet the company released several new models since January and version of phones in different parts of the world. To add to that, it is recently confirmed that Xiaomi will unveil Redmi Note 2 and Mi 5 in the next few weeks or months. However, the much awaited Mi 5 is apparently not Xiaomi's flagship as fresh leaks on GFXBench emerge.

Many are curious of the mysterious Xiaomi device codenamed, Ferrari. Normally, the name Ferrari is tagged to ultra fast cars, lavish driving experience and stunning designs - everything top of the line. The name of the product is not the only reason for the overwhelming interest but the released product specifications spark a lot of questions.

Leaks on the Xiaomi Ferrari from GFXBench show that the product is powered by Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core and has an Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. It also features a 4.9-inch screen at 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The Xiaomi Ferrari comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. Rumors about this device report that it runs at Android 5.0 Lollipop and it also has a 13-megapixel camera at the back and a 5-megapixel in the front.

In relation to the specs released and granting these are true; Xiaomi's new phone is cannot be a Redmi Note 2 for it is way smaller nor a Mi 5 since the speculations are not top-tier. Nevertheless, these recent spec release and leaks for a new Xiaomi phone may mean that Redmi Note 2 and Mi 5 aficionados may still have to wait longer before these models are released.

The choice of Xiomi's moniker Ferrari receives quite a reaction worldwide simply because its specs do not match the name it represents, unless there is more to what the features initially released. Aside from GFXBench, very little is known about this new product and without any confirmation from Xiomi, consumers are still left in the dark about this model.
