Iggy Azalea and Britney Spears' "Pretty Girls" is going to take pop music to a new level. Azalea, 24, described the upcoming single "Pretty Girls" as a "true powerhouse duet."
"I'm super excited about it," Azalea said of the single which will appear on Britney Spears' upcoming album on May 5.
Azalea also detailed her collaboration with the 33-year-old pop star during an interview with Access Holywoood at the iHeartRadio awards. "Working with Britney Spears was awesome," she added. "It's been a long time in the making, figuring out whose album it's going to be on. It's going to be on hers and I'm super excited for it."
According to Access Hollywood, aside from rapping on "Pretty Girls," Azalea will also co-direct the song's video.
"I'm gonna be co-directing the video next week. So that's been awesome, not only just getting to work with Britney and write the song, but being able to have something to do with the visual... . It's just been great. It's just been an honor that she would let me do that for her, so I'm super excited," said Azalea.
Although Azalea had directed videos before, including her own videos for "Trouble" and "Black Widow," she feels a bit pressured in doing the "Pretty Girls" video. "It will be my first time directing somebody else's video," she explained. "I'm really nervous about it. I want to do her justice," said Azalea
The Australian rapper also said that Britney Spears also has some creative ideas which they will use in the video. "She's had her own input in. And it's been a cool process because I've got her number, so I've been harassing her. 'What do you think about this?' And she's added some of her ideas as well."
Azalea released her first studio album, "The New Classic", in April 2014, and announced the she is planning to do a reissue with six new songs in September. Britney Spears last debuted "Britney Jean" in November 2013, and has completed her new record, according to Azalea.
