“Pacific Rim 2” Spoilers, Plot Update: Godzilla crossover possible? Comic book Pacific Rim: Tales From the Drift released

Fans of the movie Pacific Rim are required to wait before a movie sequel of the movie is released. But on the lighter note, the wait is definitely worth it because a new comic book, Pacific Rim: Tales From the Drift, inspired by the movie will be released any time soon for fans to enjoy. A possible Godzilla crossover in the upcoming sequel is also something monstrous to look forward to in the upcoming movie.

Another interesting note about the comic book series is that it was created with inputs from movie director Guillermo del Toro and screenwriter Travis Beacham. The book will be a for part series and will most likely be adapted in the movies, if Pacific Rim 2 manages to top or equal the success of its forerunner film. The events in the comics are said to follow the events in the 2013 graphic novel Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero.

Rumors of a Godzilla crossover are not stopping and according to reports, the monumental event might actually happen. Godzilla is a timeless monstrosity and can blend easily in any era or time frame. The two gigantic monster are allegedly collaborating in one gigantic film that will most likely pit them against each other, and then later on will take each other sides to defend mother Earth from another destructive human creation. This might not happen in Pacific Rim 2 or Godzilla 2, but the union of these two unlikely saviors are bound to happen. Individual fans of these monsters are expected to take sides once the crossover happens.

On the other hand, Guiilermo del Torro's return for the movie is expected to bring a different light to the upcoming sci-fi movie. A lot of fans and followers of the franchise have high hopes that del Torro will manage to bring justice and create another record breaking movie from the upcoming sequel.

"Pacific Rim 2" is scheduled to be released on cinemas on 2017.
