The reality parody show 'Barely Famous' has just debuted this month. It features the daughters of famous music producer David Foster, Sara and Erin. It's a docu-style comedy series, which act likes a reality show that makes fun about the life in Los Angeles.
The new VH1 series "Barely Famous" can only be described as a faux reality series. It's part mockumentary, part comedy, in which Erin and Sara play ridiculous versions of themselves. It is a scripted series about the making of a reality show starring the sisters as themselves.
"This is not a reality show. Nothing in this show is real. Everyone you see in this show playing the supporting roles are all actors," Erin tells ABC Radio. "We just wanted to sort of create a crazy outrageous over-the-top show about two girls desperate to be famous and you know, date a celebrity."
Although they are making fun of the life in Hollywood, the sisters hoped no one could be personally offended, which includes their step-mother, Yolanda Foster, who currently stars on Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'.
Erin explains, "We're not spoofing or making fun of one specific person."
Sara adds, "Nobody could be offended by this show. If you're offended by it, then you're taking it too seriously because we are the butt of the joke at every turn, and we're making fun of a culture, and a concept, and sort of like this format of reality TV that's really silly."
Form its first episode, the series already featured tons of Hollywood personalities including Nicole Richie, Courteney Cox, and even Kate Hudson. The show starts where Sara is trying to move up from the D-list, and Erin is trying desperately to make a romance happen with fake James Franco.
The second episode featured the sisters with Jessica Alba Sara who does not realize who Sara is, which is really awkward.
Meanwhile, the latest 'Barely Famous' spoilers shows that Sara and Erin Foster are desperate to be famous but even their family connections and over confidence have not made them on the guest list. They tried to get into a VIP event, only to be embarrassed when they are not recognized at the door.
Don't miss Sara and Erin and all their ridiculous antics on new episodes of Barely Famous, Wednesdays at 9:30/8:30c.
