Halo 5: Guardians is slated to come out exclusively on Xbox One on October 27, 2015 according to a new trailer released by the Xbox today. The video teases that Master Chief may be the traitor after all as the clip ends with Locke about to shoot the one who seemed to "save the world." Plus other big revelations about the story mission and the competition between Master Chief and Locke.
The latest Hunt for Truth trailer by developer 343 Industries shows the shooter videogame a cliff-hanger where Locke is in the middle of ruins of what used to be a vibrant city. As the video progresses, Locke points his gun on Master Chief as he found him injured lying below the sculpture of himself. Master Chief indeed deceived the humanity by plausible pretenses of saving the world at his hands.
The heat is on between Master Chief and Locke as the trailer suggests. When Halo 4: The Colony Worlds ends Master Chief was not around to save the world while it was under attack. Spartan soldier Locke was sent on a search mission for Master Chief until this trailer shows.
Meanwhile, an emerging alien force will surely make the most difficult out of the story mission. Will they be part of Master Chief's force? That remains uncertain for now. While the new trailer shows Locke is about to shoot Master Chief, predictions suggest the latter will escape the hands of the new savior and Locke will surely have a hard time chasing after him. For Locke's team, Macer, Romeo, and Buck might be joining him in his search for the traitor.
In another source, McFarlane Toys figurine brings three new and returning series characters that have been unraveled. This suggests that Halo 5: Guardian might be in the works of bringing in new characters and bring back old ones.
