Fouriertransform is investing SEK 10 million, through a rights issue, in ArcCore AB in Gothenburg. ArcCore is a product development company specializing in AUTOSAR-compliant software for control devices within the automotive industry.
Through this investment, Fouriertransform will become the largest minority shareholder, with 31 percent and 3core remains the majority shareholder with 69 percent. ArcCore is a product development company, concentrating on the automotive industry, with a focus on the development of AUTOSAR-compliant software.
- AUTOSAR is a global initiative to create a standardized and uniform software platform for the automotive industry, an important step towards higher efficiency, better quality and possibilities of reusing software. ArcCore AB is, through its existing owners 3core, one of the few Swedish AUTOSAR members and the company has, in spite of a short time on the market, successfully built a customer base in Europe and Asia. Our investment will support ArcCore’s international expansion and will be the base for a faster product development, says Per Nordberg, CEO of Fouriertransform AB.
ArcCore AB was founded in 2009 by five entrepreneurs with extensive experience in software development. The company has 15 employees and the turnover for 2011 was about SEK 10 million. In addition to its technical excellence, the company uses an innovative marketing strategy that combines the offering of Open Source and commercial licenses.
- ArcCore has during a short time established itself as a recognized supplier of AUTOSAR products for demanding automotive customers. Together with Fouriertransform, we will be able to further expand our customer base outside Sweden, take the next step in our technology development, while strengthening our product development programs, says Johan Ekberg, CEO of ArcCore AB.
Fouriertransform is a state-owned venture capital company with a task to, on a commercial basis, strengthen the international competitiveness of the Swedish automotive cluster. The company has a total investment framework of SEK 3 billion and, in addition to providing capital, its well-qualified employees and network of experts contribute their own expertise.
