'GTA Online' suspend function issues addressed: What other fixes are coming to the game

By

In response to several players voicing problems regarding the suspend/resume feature on the PlayStation 4 and "GTA Online," Rockstar Games has finally issued a possible temporary fix while promising to address the issue long term.

The problem takes place when players enter Rest Mode on their consoles while still playing "GTA Online." Once they return to playing from Rest Mode, they are entered into Freemode with only their own characters found on the map and no other players in sight.

The problem persists even when players attempt to start a new session of Freemode, according to Gear Nuke.

So far, Rockstar Games has prescribed the quick fix of closing "GTA V" in the PS4 XMB and re-launching the game afterward.

Rockstar Games is still working on a long term fix for the issue, and has advised gamers to subscribe to their support site to receive an update whenever the solution is available.

The company was busy over the weekend, fixing not only the suspend/resume issue but also rolling out a new patch for "GTA V" and its online mode.

Known as patch 1.23 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and patch 1.09 for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 gives players a new way to join a heist as a part of the crew. With this new option, players can simply press left on the directional pad to join, according to Gamespot.

The auto-invite option for the game's online mode has also been upgraded to facilitate faster matchmaking and more hours online for the players.

Rockstar also addressed graphical deterioration issues reported by players supposedly stemming from the update coming before this latest one, according to IGN.

The issue with the graphics were reportedly caused by the update prior to 1.23/1.09.

Glitches in the game, including one involving parachutes are also fixed with the latest patch.

Patch 1.23/1.09 is currently available for download.
