Oh no! It looks like Terrence Howard will get a taste of his own character's woes as his ex-wife Michelle Gent is after a portion of his hefty "Empire" paycheck.
Michelle Ghent wants $508,000 and more from "Empire" star Terrence Howard. Ghent reportedly claimed that Howard undervalued his gross monthly income in order to avoid legal fees and spousal support. Daily Mail cited that Howard previously claimed that he cannot pay the demanded amount because he only made over $5,000 a month.
After "Empire" began drawing more and more audience with each episode, Howard is reportedly earning an average of $125,000 per episode, which is why Ghent is after a whole lot more money.
Documents obtained by TMZ show that should Howard earn more than $62,500 per quarter, Howard should give Ghent 21 percent of the excess income.
Ghent claimed that Howard was not only paying her the required monthly spousal support and but he was also not owning up to the agreement on the said share. Ghent said that Howard wanted to make it look like he earned little, but he was only stashing his earnings to his first ex-wife's business.
The outlet also noted that Ghent will no longer receive spousal support in 2016. Howard or his representatives have yet to comment on the issue.
Howard plays the role of Lucious Lyon in "Empire." The show received the highest number of viewers in the past ten years, making it the most watched TV series since "Grey's Anatomy," EW reported.
Speaking to Access Hollywood Live, Howard admitted that he did not expect "Empire" to receive a lot of support from fans and viewers.
"I read the script and it's got Cookie and Luscious and what the hell is all of this? And my gay son? I didn't think it was going to work," Howard said. Howard is also set to star in another Fox series titled, "Wayward Pines" alongside Matt Dillon.
