The Soho House West Hollywood has always been described as the "most important and exclusive club" for A-listers and deal makers, but it seems Kim Kardshian does not make the cut.
According to Soho House former director Tim Geary, reality TV star Kim Kardashian has applied for membership numerous times, but was always denied. He added that the elite club tried not to give membership to people who would fuel paparazzi or bring the press to its doors.
"Kim Kardashian has unsuccessfully tried numerous times. Kobe Bryant showed up and chose not to join. We didn't let him up. There was a debate over Britney Spears. Not sure how that played out," Geary told The Hollywood Reporter.
He added that they also denied access to every "Real Housewive" who applied for membership at the elite club which will be celebrating its fifth anniversary.
Celebrities, writers, directors, producers and other executives meet at the Soho House to relax and party.
Hollywood stars such as Cameron Diaz, Bradley Cooper, and Robert Pattinson have all been spotted at the Soho House which is the US offshoot of the highly successful London club. There was also a Sex and the City episode set in the club's New York venue which showed publicist Samantha Jones and the other girls being kicked out after it's revealed she entered using someone else's lost membership card.
According to founder Nick Jones, Soho House values "creativity" more than a person's net worth and job titles."I figured that everyone we want to have as a member drives down this road three or four times a week."
According to its website, Soho House was founded in London in 1995 as "home for people working in creative fields".
"Unlike other club concepts, which often focus on wealth and status, we aim to assemble communities of members that have something in common: namely, a creative soul. The majority of our members work in traditional creative industries, with the film, fashion, advertising, music, art and media sectors, among others, heavily represented," the Soho House website states.
