Batman Arkham Knight Latest Updates: Sony Announces Limited Edition Batman PS4, The Game’s Almost 50GB Size and More

By

After being delayed several times, the game is now set for release this coming June 23 and epic finale of the Batman trilogy will finally conclude. The cape crusader will not only get an epic Playstation 4 release but Sony will put in a special Batman-themed PS4 for fans. However, along with the stylish PS4 console, fans would also carry a whopping 48.7 GB of gaming glory in their machines. The much awaited PS4 release Batman Arkham Knight's file size is larger than GTA V which is 41 GB.

The Limited Edition Batman-themed PS4

As a gesture from Sony, the said company will release a limited edition, Batman-themed PS4 this summer. The limited edition is now available for pre-orders for the Batman: Arkham Knight PS4 bundle that includes, the batman-themed PS4 console, a wireless Dualshock 4 controller and a copy of the game. The price tag for this bundle is $399.99 and is now available on Amazon as well.

The 'Gargantuan' file size

As revealed on a page for the game on the Playstation store, its pre-order price is $59.99 and its file size is a little less than 50GB. This makes it one of the largest game file sizes for the PS4 on its release. Though this will just be a little less than 8% of the 500GB HDD capacity of the PS4, it is still very large.

A 7-minute video teaser released

Because of the dismay fans felt after the release delay announcement, Warner Bros. and Rocksteady felt it best to further tease already anxious fans with a 7-minute video of the game. The short trailer shows the first chapter of the game where cutscenes and a bit of gameplay is featured. Critics are all impressed with what is shown on the teaser and hopes that no further delays will prevent this from being released this June 23.
