Although "The Dovekeepers" is a faith-based project, Cote de Pablo revealed that she was getting all the romance she didn't get with her other projects, including "NCIS."

Cote de Pablo and Diego Boneta divulged in an interview with Entertainment Tonight said that the CBS miniseries "The Dovekeepers" has a lot of steamy and sensual scenes. Last month, Cote admitted that there was plenty of passion in the "The Dovekeepers", but with reasonable boundaries.

"I wouldn't say it's sexual," Cote said. "I'd say it's sensual."

She added: "There's a lot of passion and there's a lot of love, but there's also a lot of loss in this story. It's a very emotional."

The one-of-a-kind TV event produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey ("The Bible") is based on Alice Hoffman's bestselling historical novel about the Siege of Masada in 70 C.E. where 900 Jews stood their ground against Roman armies after being forced out of their home in Jerusalem and kept in a fortress at a mountain in the Judean desert.

The project will recount the events from the perspective of a few extraordinary women with different back stories who share a common bond for survival. In the miniseries, Cote plays Shirah, a healer accused of practicing witchcraft. "The Dovekeepers" also tells the story of Shirah who helps the 900 Jews escape through a system of subterranean cisterns.

Based on Hoffman's novel, of the 900 Jews who were captive in the fortress at Masada, holding out for months against the vast Roman armies, it is alleged that only two women and five children were said to have survived the siege

"The Dovekeepers" was shot in Malta. The project stars Cote de Pablo ("NCIS"), Rachel Brosnahan ("House of Cards") and Kathryn Prescott ("Finding Carter") who will be playing the role as the dovekeepers in the miniseries.

"The Dovekeepers" airs as a four-hour limited series on March 31 and April 1 on CBS.
