It is merge week on Survivor season 30 Worlds Apart and it has always been a crazy time for the contestants because of all the allegiances changing and people distrusting one another. Not only is there drama between tribes but there is also an endurance challenge for immunity and an intense elimination after the newly formed allegiances strategize who goes home.
The merge happens right away in the episode and everyone is trying to ally themselves with one another to get a good majority vote with the biggest alliance being the five remaining members of the Blue Collar. However, it is not all calm waters in the group as Mike's decision to vote out Joaquin causes some uneasiness with Rodney.
Though Mike makes an effort to patch things up, Rodney has an ulterior motive. He plans on playing nice with Mike until he gets the chance to separate himself and turn on Mike. Meanwhile, among the No Collars and the White Collars, Jenn hatches a plan to have them band together to vote out the Blues, specifically Kelly.
In this week's episode of Survivor season 30 Worlds Apart, immunity challenge involved hanging on a pole for as long as possible. Not long after the challenge started, many of the contestants fell off their poles. Then, as if Mother Nature had a flare for the dramatics, it started to rain with Jenn, Joe, and Carolyn left. In the end, Joe hung on the longest and won immunity.
For elimination, the Blue Collars target Jenn but Mike tells Will to vote against Hali to test his loyalty. Shirin, worried that the Blue Collars will have a strong core and reach the end of the season, was thinking about siding with the White Collars and No Collars. At Tribal Council, Will proves his loyalty by voting against Hali while Jenn uses her secret Immunity Idol, causing Kelly to be the one voted off.
