A 5.5-inch iPhone with Force Technology imminent this year; plus, iPhone 6S wish list gets viral

By

The iPhone 6S is expected to be released this year. Rumors and some viral wish lists about the phone's features and specifications seemed to get more and more accurate. BGR cited news reports by the Taiwanese Economic Daily that Apple is really going to include the Force Touch technology in iPhone 6S models, or at least in the iPhone 6S Plus.

This confirmed previous reports that the new technology will be included in iPhones.

Further, reports also said that TPK would be supplying the Force Touch technology for this year's 5.5-inch iPhone. TPK has been known as the manufacturer of Force Touch panels for Apple Watch. With the move of including the Force Touch, it will indeed increase Apple revenues.

Though it was mentioned that only the iPhone 6S Plus would have the Force Touch technology, others, however, are highly expecting that this feature is still going to be included in other iPhone versions.

Meanwhile, Expert Reviews posted possible features that could be included in the iPhone 6S. The first thing it mentioned that those who are hoping for a bigger battery in the upcoming smartphone won't definitely get it. However, the Force Touch technology is very possible as well as a pre-fitted Apple SIM, a Gorilla Glass 4, a better TouchID, same camera and body look, an A9 chip (in collaboration with Samsung), a standard 2 GB RAM, a new USB cable, and a similar pricing as with last year's iPhone 6 releases. It could possibly be around $800 (£539) for the 16 GB version, $919 (£619) for the 64 GB version, and $1038 (£699) for the 128 GB version. The phone's release is speculated to be around September 18 this year.

Cult of Mac also posted their version of iPhone 6's features in a form of a wish list. These are:

  1. Wireless charging
  2. Force Touch
  3. 32 GB storage standard
  4. Better camera
  5. More RAM
  6. Bright colors
  7. All-day battery
  8. OLED display
  9. Waterproofing

Apple has not released official statements about the matter.
