The Evil Within Update: The Consequence DLC Out in April 21, Mysteries in Juli Kidman’s Life Unfolds, The Assignment Needs More Guns, And More

The Evil Within's latest DLC is The Consequence and Bethesda Softworks has just revealed that it will be out in consoles on April 21 in the U.S and April 22 in Europe.

The Consequence is the second installment of the three-pack DLC of the game which is available for free for those who have a $19.99 season pass. It can be purchased individually for $9.99. On March 10, the game's first DLC pack was released.

While Bethesda has not revealed full details of the upcoming content pack, The Consequence will continue to reveal mysteries in the life of the deuteragonist Juli "Kid" Kidman first teased in The Assignment. "We don't want to spoil too much of what's happening next - there would assuredly be consequences for that," said a blog post of Bethesda.

In lieu of full-blast details, Bethesda desire to leave a little more to the players' imagination through a short 19-second video teaser. The clip shows Kidman walking down the train rails in Paranoia towards a running train rustling in front of her. "I'm not running this time," she says.

The Assignment centers on the story of deuteragonist Juli Kidman and the secrecies abounding in her life, including her connections to the shady Mobius bloc. A stealth gameplay was added in the DLC's gameplay mechanics, as well as new adversaries and fighting techniques.

Before its record was broken by Dying Light last January, The Evil Within was the top-selling survival horror game when it debuted. The third DLC is The Executioner which is reported to allow players play the Keeper in a slew of mission-based levels. Elsewhere, The Assignment's impressive scare tactics have been reviewed well, aside that it needs a gun. Its best features are the stealth gameplay, unsettling enemies and the technique needed in combat.

According to IGN, The Evil Within and its smudged universe has "beautifully designed environments, and refreshingly grounded protagonist make it stand out from the main game, and a cliffhanger ending suggests there's much more good stuff to come in part two: The Consequence."
