Destiny 2 PS4, PC Release: Game release in 2016, includes behavioural psychology? Patch 1.1.2 development on-going

Behind Destiny 2 game development design is much scientific as expected. What the fans didn't know about the entire game is a psychology involved in the gameplay, a science relative to how the human normally behaves after certain circumstance. On the other side, patch 1.1.2 is still under development.

Perhaps, Bungie is effective to this type of composition to the game as they recently revealed that they considered covering behavioural psychology to the game.

Bungie's John Hopson during GDC 2015 said that the team decided to have a behavioural game design - part of their strategy to keep gamers coming back to the game.

How the behavioural design made several impacts to their fans is its ability to hook them by linking psychology to the reactions and behaviours based from the rewards given, after which the person would receive them during the game.

Through their testing to a large group of people, Bungie gathered different data from the gamers and later discovered different player types, such as the Short Campaigners, Long Campaigners, Short and Long Omnivores, and the Specialist.

Furthermore, gamers were given an option to admit their feedbacks to the gameplay. To sum up what they said generally includes, they were confused, frustrated, or happy. However, these just depend on the encounters, particularly the last, that stirred their emotions.

Hopson is also an expert in the said psychology; it helped him to drive his team to make something for the players to achieve optimal satisfactions through the kind of rewarding system of each risk that the gamers will undertake from the entire duration of Destiny.

Through that strategy, it made Destiny as one of the best-selling games in 2014 with an average of 77 hours per player's time.

Meanwhile, Bungie seemed busy making patches to the occurring bugs while preparing for the release of the next Destiny series. This is because they are committed preventing problematic features of the game.

Recently, the improvement process of the 1.1.2 update is on-going which addresses big issues such as the Raids and Strikes to make them less difficult since the game developer noticed that the players usually don't finish the Strikes mission.

So, in order to prevent this from the future Destiny, they decided to make it little less challenging through the patch. According to the game developer, "[Cerberus Vae III Strike] has one of the lowest completion rates of any of the Strikes."

On the other hand with the Raids, they said that they will do the same like the former to invite more players to take the challenge without being compromised while finishing it, by saying, "[Raids] are challenging enough without the game getting in your way."

However, not all gamers liked these decisions made by Bungie. Yet, they assured that they don't have to worry about these changes since it won't really affect the entire game and its quality as a whole.

Since 2014, when it was first announced, it might be possible that the game will arrive next year. Slated in PS4, PC platforms (since it is incompatible with the old generation consoles PS3 and Xbox 360, Destiny 2 guaranteed to release in 2016.
