MMO fans and pundits alike can't help but think that Tom Clancy's The Division gets the same October 16 release date recently leaked for Rainbow Six Siege.
Recently, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege release date is reportedly leaked by Europeran retailer, Gamestop Italy indicating an October 16 launch in Europe, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
Will it be possible that these two Tom Clancy game franchise could arrive similarly? We do think so. Back in February, Ubisoft reconfirms that Tom Clancy's The Division will release alongside Rainbow Six Siege and Assassin's Creed Victory.
In the meantime, Tom Clancy's The Division includes details about the Dark Zones, The Cleaners Faction, and Pre-Alpha leaks.
The Dark Zones are the MMO game's PvP area which allows players to engage in head-to-head combat with other players. Fighting in the Dark Zones poses the risk of losing items when the player is killed. Items must be taken through a process called "Extraction" to permanently bind the item to the player. The item will be lost if the player is killed before Extraction is complete. The Dark Zones will be separate from The Division's main campaign.
Ubisoft also revealed a faction in the game called The Cleaners. They are covered head to toe in a fireproof suit with a flamethrower in hand. The Cleaners roam the map with the goal of controlling and eliminating the virus. They may have the tendency to burn anything that moves, including human survivors, but engagement with them varies largely on how the player encounters them.
Footage from the pre-alpha build of The Division has leaked online showing non-polished graphics which received many criticisms. A Ubisoft spokesperson quickly responded that the video was from the pre-alpha tests developed to evaluate the server infrastructure in a real world setting. "A large portion of the game features have been removed in this build and therefore is not representative of the game's current quality," the spokesperson said.
Just like other MMO games, Tom Clancy's The Division will not depend largely on the narrative, but instead on the action scenarios during missions. The game is set in New York where a manmade virus has swept through the city, causing immediate ruin to the society. The player is a member of a unit of tactical agents called The Division aimed to prevent the fall of society.
Tom Clancy's The Division is touted as one the biggest MMO releases on its way to the gaming world late this year alongside Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege and Assassin's Creed Victory games arriving to Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms.
