Have you ever witnessed very popular international celebrities during their most vulnerable moments?
Hailed as one of the greatest singers of all time, multiple Grammy Award-winning songbird Celine Dion has experienced so many things just about every aspiring singer, wife & mom can wish for. As a global entertainer, she has sold millions of albums sold and achieved stardom that has allowed her to live an enviable lifestyle. She has also been blessed with a very supportive husband who believed in her talent back when she was an unknown, and who has given her adorable kids. Yet even the rich & famous have their highs & lows, and in Celine Dion's case, one of the tribulations is seeing her partner in life fighting for his life.
Some are unaware that Celine Dion has been tormented by the fact that her husband, Canadian siner-actor-writer René Angélil, has become afflicted with a serious illness. One of the ways Celine is able to express her anguish is through her songs. Viewers of Oprah were able to witness Celine in tears while singing "My Love" during her guest appearances in the tv show years ago. It's like Celine's singing the song of her life, especially when she utters the lines "I would see you through" and "Could you see I've been brave."
The "My Heart Will Go On" and "Because You Loved Me" singer met the love of her life, René Angélil, when she was only 12 and he was pushing into his 40s. They had a professional relationship but love eventually blossomed. To date, Celine has stated in interviews that her husband's health condition has taken a turn for the worse and she herself feeds him through a tube.
Celine has juggled being a mom to their three kids, keeping up with her work commitments, and battling the disease with her husband. Hence, she had to put her career on hold for a year to personally care for her husband.
Upon his husband's prodding to relaunch her career, the very talented crooner is all set for her residency at Caesars Palace's Colosseum in August. Celine expressed her fear of losing him but said she needs to show her family that she's strong.
