The cast and production of television crime series "Gotham" recently made an appearance in California's Wondercon. In the said convention, John Stephens, the series producer divulged that two more villains from Batman's rogue gallery will appear in the upcoming season.
"Clayface and Mad Hatter are both villains we're going to bring in [as well]. They both have great backstories and great personalities. Clayface especially is a character I want to explore the origin of." Stephens said during their panel last Easter weekend. These two criminals will be joining the long list of lowlifes which had included The Penguin, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, the Red Hood, The Riddler and even The Joker.
"Gotham" is known to be the Dark Knight's city but in this tv setting premise, Bruce Wayne is still a young boy in the care of his butler as his parents were murdered. Fans have their eyes set on another hero, Gotham City Police Department's newest recruit Detective James Gordon.
With all these calculations at hand, there has also been a talked before that another super-criminal will also make his debut in the Warner Bros. tv show. The disgraced scientist known as Mr. Freeze had long been talked about and it seems fans will finally see one of Batman's stock villains before he went mad with revenge.
"We always want to walk the fine line of the reality of our world. Walking right up to that line where super-villains live. So there are a lot of characters from Batman lore that fit that bill. People like Victor Fries - who's a science villain. You can play a lot of his abilities without going into the world of superheroes," the producer again clarified.
In related news, Jada Pinkett-Smith last month in Variety that she will no longer be returning to Fox's hit show as "she signed only for one year, and the year was up". The actress though commended the program and concluded that,"there are some great things coming ahead on 'Gotham', believe me".
