The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been revealed with a new world map and it looks like the world is a vast arena for the open-world RPG to discover, providing players over 200 hours of adventure missions for Geralt of Rivia. Meanwhile, the first 15 minutes of the game has been revealed with exciting gameplay.
Described to be '30 times larger' than the previous Witcher games, the new world map will let players experience open seas where classic relics can be found. Engage in a battle, stop over the lavish and crooked city of Novigrad. Experience the freezing winter season and a breezy Skellige islands. Defy the shady forces inhabiting the No Man's Land, a desolate, war-ruined city. Along the way, special Witcher senses can be used in pursuit of vicious beasts and gain gold.
While the game is in development then, its Polish developer CD Projekt RED promised a massive world in the labs through improvements of some elements in the game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a single-player and is over 200 hours long. This time, it is set with fresh mechanics with the Witcher-sense, horseback combat, underwater fights, and crossbow. Geralt of Rivia can now jump, climb and vault over small hurdles.
Gamestop, an electronics retail company, is exclusively offering the map via a pre-order.
In another report, a new Wild Hunt clip unveils the game's gameplay in its first 15 minutes. On top of the griffon combat shown at E3 in 2013, the new clip shows the combat against a band of minor enemies from humans to creatures and the new ability of the protagonist to use magic.
The new world map is not just vast as reported, but it looks stunning in zoomed in on the screen. The concluding part of Geralt's endeavor is described by senior game designer Damien Monnier "the biggest and most ambitious one yet." It runs a "brand new engine designed from the ground up to the harness the power of the newer consoles and PCs."
Players also can change a huge amount of settings related to graphics. A review describes The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to have "an engrossing story line" with "random encounters out in the wilderness."
Meanwhile, developers earlier promised a free DLC for those who purchase the videogame.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will release on May 19, 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
