Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is coming out in theaters next year and while a concrete plot has yet to be released, fans will not have to wait much longer. There have already been tiny hints about the plot and the film's trailer will be released soon.
It has been confirmed that the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer will be shown before the Mad Max: Fury Road movie, which will premiere on May 15, 2015. There was a report speculating that Warner Brothers planned this strategic release because of The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie.
Since the Marvel movie would be already out for two weeks, it would not drive the conversation away from the new Batman v. Superman trailer. Age of Ultron would appear in every conversation and dominate social media during late April and early May so it would make sense that the studio would choose to release this trailer at a later time. They would not want one superhero movie to trump the other.
Though the trailer will be out soon, there are still some plot tidbits reported. Footage of Superman and Batman fighting on top of a Gotham City building was shown to fans during the 2014 San Diego Comic Con. It was not revealed, however, the reason why the two superheroes were fighting and how this fight would affect the other characters in the film.
However, fans have speculated that the trailer would only show a small part of the film and would not reveal the entire premise. They only have a little over a month to wait before they are either proven wrong or right.
Superman v. Batman: Dawn of Justice, directed by Zack Snyder, is coming to theaters on March 25, 2016. The movie will star Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth.
