Deftones to Release New Screwy Album This Year. Chino Moreno Puts Side Projects on Hold

By

Deftones, the famous classic rock band, is going to release a new album by the third trimester of this year. The band's lead singer, Chino Moreno, reveals that the sixteen songs in the Deftones New Album still has all the elements that makes the band who they are.

During an interview with Rolling Stone, Moreno revealed that every song in the album was deeply dissected as for it to sound unique and innovated. He adds that his band of five members have been fusing their talents as a team into formulating the album for it to exude the distinct sound of what Deftones is supposed to sound like.

A fifteen-second leak video was released through marcmojoisback's Instagram account. It showcased one of the band's sessions and it sounded like the way Deftones is supposed to sound... but better.

Chino Moreno has recently been working on various projects after his band Deftones released its latest album last 2012 entitled Koi No Yokan. He has finished a second album with his side project "Team Sleep" and is hoping to release it when the time is right. Additionally, he has also been working with a grungier band called Crosses who focuses on an electronic, eerie witch house musical style. Palms, the third project he's involved with, has no updates for the moment. Pending the release of the new Deftones album, Moreno pushed his other projects aside as he gives his full attention and focus on Deftones alone.

With Deftones' new album coming out and Chino Moreno putting everything on hold to focus on Deftones, do you think the album would sound way better than the previous ones? Write your comments below.
