This year Samsung's Galaxy S5 will be making its debut in September's IFA event. The newest addition to the Samsung Galaxy Note family is expected to be a major design upgrade from last year's Samsung Galaxy S4 Edge. Samsung's latest Galaxy S5 is expected to be released Q3 of this year at the IFA event likened to its previous Galaxy Note launches.

Last year, Android users were impressed with Samsung's release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Edge, a breakthrough in curved edge smartphone technology, as well as its follow up release S6 Note and S6 Edge versions. Android users gave high regard to last year's Samsung Galaxy S4 Edge and its additional usability features with its right hand side access display panel. This year, Samsung is expected to release the newest curved edge version in Q3 of this year.

Notable enhancements with the curved edge display give users quick access to built-in applications that can be customized to the user's preference. There is no physical separation between the phone's display and the additional edge display. Clean and polished, Samsung's developed technology makes use of the software in order to identify the boundary between the display screen and the edge screen.

This September, the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to have dual edge display, as EVP Roh Tae-moon hints in an interview with Korean Herald. According to the EVP of Samsung's product strategy team, there is a possibility that the newest addition to the Galaxy Note series will introduce the curved display. It is unclear yet as to whether Samsung will be releasing the Note with a dual edge display or two variants like the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Display specifications and details of the upcoming high end phablet have yet to be confirmed by Samsung. Further speculations about the specifications of the Galaxy S5 have been making rounds through the Android user community. Giztimes reports on what we can expect with the latest Galaxy addition. Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to have 5.9inch AMOLED display, 64GB internal memory with a micro SD storage slot of up to 128GB, 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 810 chipset with a 2.9GHz quadcore processor, a 20mp rear camera, and a 5mp front camera.

Complete specifications have yet to be confirmed by Samsung. The new Galaxy S5 is expected to be released by September of this year.
