The Blacklist this week brings fans into a whirlwind of confusion. In the latest episode, Red the black jack of smooth talking reveals unexpected weakness on his side. Moreover, the previous episode shows how Liz is more than willing to stick Red despite the man devoid of morality.
The upcoming episode of The Blacklist entitled Leonard Caul shows how Red fights for his life and seeks Liz help. He tasks Liz to look for a man named Nicholas Caul, someone from Red's past with knowledge of a certain mysterious file called The Fulcrum. It becomes obvious from the looks of things that Red's life hangs on Liz, this Caul and the files he holds. Knowing how important this file is, everyone on the task force works hard to locate The Fulcrum immediately before the threats on Red's life resurface.
On the other hand, Tom's resolve to live a honest life is threatened as he becomes a prized advantage for the team.
Liz as well has personal struggles as she remembers being abandoned by her father as a child. Although with readiness and motivation to go the extra mile as a criminal profiler, ghosts from her pasts visit her and prevent her from giving it all out. She is instinctually in constant need to protect and take care of herself. In an interview, with Megan Boone, the actress who plays Liz, she mentions that she herself finds the role a challenge due to the past the officer has and the things she needs to constantly deal.
"In the past I've played police officers and prosecuting attorneys, and I've shadowed police officers and the DA. But with the FBI, that doesn't happen. I don't get to shadow an FBI agent, so it's guesswork for me. I can't follow an agent, but I can at least understand the dynamics of her relationships, the situations that she's entering into," says Boone.
The next installment of "The Blacklist" airs on April 23.
