Recall that it has been circulating in the internet since March that Duke Lavery might exit the hit soap opera soon and a TV Digest reporter mentions in his Twitter account that the show is killing off Ian Buchanan. With these gossips online, many suppose a series of deaths at Port Charles during the Nurses Ball.
For the past years, the Nurses Ball is always filled with drama, action and mystery. This year speculations on the action at the night of the Nurses Ball revolve around Anna Devane and Duke Lavery. The two are hitting high and lows in their love affairs for a long time but time around, the two seems to separate good. Duke makes it very plain and clear to Anna that his loyalties are with Sonny Corinthos and the mob while Anna's loyalties are with the Port Charles police. It is clear from these that there is a conflict of interest.
Recent spoilers from General Hospital suggest that the mobsters carry a shoot out at the night of the ball as Duke Lavery attempts to take on Jordan. At this point as well, Anna suits up into her undercover, joins the shooting and may end up killing Duke. Further General Hospital teasers reveal that Duke may not be the only victim of the commotion including Olivia Falconeri who is pregnant with Julian Jerome's baby. The leader of the Julian mob heads to the scene and joins the cross fire. It is not revealed yet whether he suffers from an injury but, on the other hand, Sonny Corinthos escapes a bullet with the help of Jake Doe. Dante was also injured by the incident.
Speaking with Jake Doe, the audience finds Nikolas and Hayden are seen together at the ball and appears as if both are conspiring against Jake Doe. More interesting is that gossip indicates that Ric Lansing's ploy against Jake Doe is revealed at the ball as well.
