Recent revelations made for "Star Wars" classic games' arrival to PS3 as remastered edition, which were originally released in PS2 and Xbox. These two classic games were named as "Star Wars: Starfighter" and "Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter."
According to these reports which appeared online, the re-launching for these two amusing titles for Star Wars were confirmed by the Pan European Game Information board (PEGI), by saying, "Assumedly heading to the PS3 under the PlayStation Classics range are Star Wars: Starfighter and Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, both were originally released on PS2 and Xbox."
For those who aren't familiar with the gameplay of these two games, here is the complete list of details that gamer should take note:
- Single and dual player action in over 15 story-based missions. Fly all missions co-op with a friend - or in single-player mode - in a variety of craft.
- Sneak a peek at Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones thrills!
- Fly the new Jedi Starfighter and get a preview of characters, story connections, craft a key location and clues to events from the film.
- Force powers in flight. Capabilities that no pilot, craft or weapon has previously possessed - Force lightning, Force shield, Force reflex and shock wave.
There were also speculations that these two classic Star Wars game titles would possibly arrive in new generation consoles apart from the mentioned PS3 platform. However, there is no affirmation from LucasArts, the game developing team behind the franchise, whether having these Star Wars titles will be possible for a remake suited for next-generation consoles as it would need ample of time to remaster classic editions of a game.
Perhaps, with these two Star Wars Starfighter and Jedi Starfighter alone, it would take much time to re-develop them to fit for the next type of console, apparently, an older version in the present time. If this would be the condition, it would also be the same for the PS4, if the re-launch for the PS3 console remake will be released.
If the gamers would ask when it would be launched, there is no official confirmation from the game developer whether it would be possible for this year. Generally, what the avid Star Wars gamers could do as of now is to wait until the exact official and scheduled date of release will be made for Star Wars: Starfighter and Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, respectively.
